    Edelsfeld and Amberg, Germany

Dave and I are in Germany! We are visiting our friends Rachel and Matt while we are in Deutschland. Rachel and Matt live in a small town called Edelsfeld about 40 minutes away by car from Nuremberg.

Rachel is one of my closest friends. We have known each other since high school and became closer as the years went on and we went our separate ways. We try to keep in touch whenever we are in the same city or plan to be in the same city. I photographed Rachel and Matt’s wedding in Sonoma Valley, CA last year.
Rachel drove Dave and I to a town 20 minutes away from Edelsfeld called Amberg. It’s one of the only towns in Germany that still has a city wall. Many of the buildings are actually built connected to create the wall. We saw some buildings that were built in the 1500′s!

Look at this ice cream! Our ‘Lasagna’ ice cream was delicious. At many of the German ice cream shops you can get ice cream that looks like different meals. We were deciding between ‘Spaghetti’ and ‘Lasagna’. The ‘Lasagna’ ice cream won. Our ‘Lasagna’ ice cream was made up of Vanilla ice cream for the wide noodles with berries and strawberry sauce for the ‘marinara and meat’ sauce. It was sooo good!

The town we are staying in with our friends Rachel and Matt is called Edelsfeld. This town has its own brewery where you can buy the local beer. We went to the Gurtchenka and loaded up on several different types of beer all from neighboring towns. Edelsfeld only distributes its beer within a 10 mile radius of the town. This is beer that you really can get only here. I must say, I love German beer, and the fact that 12 bottles of good Bavarian beer only cost us 8 Euros.

    Margaret and Matt: Engaged!

Margaret and Matt found me through mutual friends, Katie and Aaron. Matt replaced Aaron when he moved as Steve Douglass’ assistant for Campus Crusade for Christ. I must say, I am jealous of all of the travel that Matt gets to do for his job. This week he was in Spain! I guess I can’t complain too much as I am leaving for my trip to Europe tomorrow.

Margaret and Matt are so in love, and it really shows! They were so natural at taking photos, it made my job super easy. See you guys in November!

Engagement sessions are a great time for us to get to know you while making playful photos that capture your sponteniety. Some of our favorite weddings that we have captured had been with people who make it a point to do an engagement session before their wedding. The engagement session gave us a chance to get to know them so that when we showed up to the wedding we were already good friends. To book us for your engagement session send an email to Heather.

    Tracy and Aaron: Wedding!

Tracy and Aaron had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Lake Mary at Timacuan Golf Club. Tracy looked absolutely stunning. I love love loved her dress! It reminds me of the Italian dress that I wore to my own wedding.

It has been so much fun getting to know Tracy and Aaron better over the last few months through their In Love Session and their Engagement Session. From their session they made a super fun guestbook with square photos that they had printed.

Tracy and Aaron sure know how to put together an awesome party! Eventfully Yours did an amazing job pulling all the details together. Tracy’s team was awesome! The wedding went off without a hitch. I highly recommend Eventfully Yours! I love the centerpieces that Greenery Productions created for the evening reception.

Tracy and Aaron, it was an honor to photograph one of the happiest days of your lives.
