She randomly posted on Facebook a few months ago looking for someone to go to breakfast with her and being the foodie that I am I quickly replied to her post. We ended up at the Brier Patch talking over a wonderful breakfast of pancakes and Raspberry Brie French Toast. It’s funny how friendships seem to form out of nowhere.

I have been absolutely in love with my neighborhood since the second I stepped foot in my 1920′s bungalow apartment. I think this was the 5th shoot that I have photographed in and around the Lake Cherokee Historic district. The afternoon light in my neighborhood is stunning. This whole shoot was done in less than an hour in my neighborhood. Talk about using what you know!

P.S. I just bought a whole bunch of hair clips and headbands from the lovely Karie Sue Creations for upcoming photo sessions. Let me know if you would like to have a custom hair clip for your portrait or engagement session. I couldn’t help myself, I bought 5!

My cousin Amy was in town for a few days last week and wanted to have some senior portraits done. Amy is a wonderful actress from North Carolina and is currently auditioning for conservatories across the U.S. I can’t wait to see where life takes her next.

Now she photographs small local weddings occasionally through HA! Photography while in school for her nursing degree.

Stefanie and I are tag teaming kid portrait sessions and it is working out wonderfully! Stefanie has a daughter of her own and is naturally fabulous with everyone. I get to hang back a bit during these sessions and really focus on taking great photos. Working as a team has so many advantages.

Zander is such a happy baby. During the ordering session with Heather yesterday, Zander was just fascinated just with looking at us and wondering what we were doing. He had no idea we were looking at photos of him!
