    Wine. Beer. Love.

I am so looking forward to Leanne and Daniel’s wedding next February. Ian and I had a blast with them at their engagement session and we are looking forward to hanging out with them more. We started the engagement session off as normal, but by the end we ended up bar hopping or the like.

Now to the fun part. We actually started out at Park Plaza Gardens for a glass of wine. We started in this memorable spot of Leanne’s. Her father who passed away loved coming here and it is one of Leanne’s fondest memories. It was the perfect spot to start. We were talking about ideas for the engagement session while we were here and decided that it would be fun to stop to a few different really unique bars in the area. Leanne and Daniel are all about having a good time. We talked about what they wanted their wedding to be like in their initial meeting and Leanne just said, “all we really want is our guests to have a great time.”

Our next stop was the Wine Room on Park Ave. This is one of my favorite spots in Winter Park. It’s really cool because you pay for wine by the ounce and can try a few different kinds before committing to a whole glass (if that’s what you decide to do). It was fun to go around to the different pours (there are over 50 of them!) and trying everything from a super sweet Riesling to an ultra dry Cabernet.

The last place we went was to an antique shop, that just so happens to have a bar. What? Bar in an antique shop. Just let those words soak in. The Imperial is located in Washburn Imports along Orange ave. The Imperial just opened a month or two ago, but the antique shop has been here for years.  As you can see we had a lot of fun!

    Bubbles, Natural Springs, Engaged

When Lauren suggested that they wanted to have their engagement session at Wekiva springs I was very excited. Lauren and Ryan brought along a few items that made their engagement session stand out.

Ian has been photographing most engagement sessions with me and I must say, we make a great team! These shots directly below are his.

Ian’s photo on the left, mine on the right.

    Bubbles!

It was about 90 degrees out side and humid as all get out. The 4 of us all ended up in the springs by the end of the session.

Lauren and Ryan are getting married early in July and Ian and I are excited to be photographing it!

    Behind the Scenes

What happens at an engagement session? Take a look at the video below to find out.

My good friend Alex was kind enough to come along and shoot some behind the scenes video of a recent engagement session. We photographed Nathanael and Alicia’s session in Gainesville, where they met in the dorms of the University of Florida. On Friday I get the pleasure of photographing Alicia and Nathanael’s wedding at Dubsdread right here in Central Florida. I’m looking forward to seeing you two this weekend!

    In Love

I couldn’t wait to share these images with you. Lauren and Ryan. Yes, another preview.

    Sera and Ameen

When Sera and Ameen showed up for their In Love Session, Ian and I were ecstatic. Sera planned out their outfits perfectly. I love the black and white with yellow details that they chose to wear.

Sera and Ameen reenacted their engagement. They became engaged in this exact spot right near the Orlando Museum of Art.

When planning out what to wear for engagement sessions or In Love Sessions it is important to wear something that you feel comfortable and beautiful in. Sera and Ameen did a stellar job of color coordinating their outfits and picking out details that pop in photos.
