Where does our food come from? Is it good for us? Are we actually paying for processed food even if we don’t eat it?
These are some of the questions that the documentary “Food Fight” answers for us. My dad and I went to see “Food Fight” at the Florida Film Festival yesterday. My dad teaches agriculture at one of the local high school here in Orlando. We have had a couple of discussions about the local food movement. He even loaned me a really good book to read called “the Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollan. The movie was a really good documentary if you don’t know much about eating local and the role to U.S. government plays in the agriculture system.
Check out the preview below:
I find it crazy how much our government is involved in the food production business, and not in a good way. Why can’t the government make a better system to support locally grown produce as opposed to the larger farms in the midwest where most of our produce comes from? Food freshly picked just tastes better, let alone has higher nutritional value.
I can’t wait to see some other films at this year’s festival!

I really want to see this!! You are such a conscientious consumer.
